Knoxville Recycling Roundup

Date: Oct 24, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location(s):
Category(s):
A community event organized and hosted by Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC), CEMEX, and local environmental supporters, where residents may drop off certain hard-to-recycle items like tires, mattresses, scrap metal, and Styrofoam to be recycled, free of charge.

TEC partners with mostly local vendors to recycle these items and keep them out of landfills. We only accept certain items to ensure there is a recycling end destination for those materials. Many materials are refurbished, processed into new materials, or downgraded into other materials like rags and carpet padding.

Please check our website for *current list* of accepted items:
No cost to participate but donations are appreciated! *Please note, there is an additional fee on mattresses and tires beyond the 2 mattresses and 8 tires per household limits. We can not guarantee we will have additional capacity, but will do our best. See the materials list below for more information.
